New products from Hexagon’s Leica Geosystems
New groundbreaking products by Leica Geosystems debuted at HxGN LIVE Global 2022. The revolutionary BLK Autonomy series included the BLK ARC module for robots and the autonomous flying laser scanner BLK2FLY, which later would be named one of TIME Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2022.
The Leica AP20 AutoPole also shined as the world’s first tilt-compensated total station pole solution. Construction and surveying professionals praised the Leica Pegasus TRK Neo, which makes mobile mapping autonomous, intelligent and simplified. And Leica’s iCon Awareness demonstrated how it serves construction sites by providing dynamic solutions to critical health and safety challenges.
Visualisation, geospatial and mapping tools
Digital twins also took centre stage at HxGN LIVE Global 2022. Hexagon’s CTO Burkard Boeckem’s keynote featured a demo of HxDR, the smart digital reality platform built for the visualisation and collaboration of reality capture and geospatial data. Attendees also explored the Luciad portfolio in The Zone, which delivers real-time location intelligence and situational awareness for cities and nations.
The Zone featured more mapping solutions like Metro HD City Data, and attendees experienced the technology’s ability to analyse, model and visualise urban landscapes with ultra-high-definition digital twins based on the HxGN Content Platform. Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions like AiMaps showcased how they use artificial intelligence for new smart productivity in utility surveying.
Cutting-edge manufacturing solutions
Delivering a whole new dimension of autonomy, Hexagon’s manufacturing tech was on full display as well. Demos included DESIGNER, a platform providing powerful CAP capabilities for smarter manufacturing by bridging the gap between scan, design and production. The market-leading SaaS-based QMS software platform ETQ Reliance also showed how manufacturers can benefit from “shop floor to top floor” quality management.
HxGN Robotic Automation stood out as a robotic control software that simplifies automated quality inspection programming for rapid manufacturing deployment and agility. And no one at the conference could forget the AS1 with New Absolute Arm, which allows laser scanning measurement of up to 1.2 million points per second with Hexagon’s IP54-rated portable measuring arm.
Hands-on with game-changing management software
HxGN LIVE Global conferences offer vital training sessions that give attendees hands-on training with Hexagon’s latest software. HxGN Smart Build™ Insight revealed how construction users can link critical information to drive productivity, improve change management and deliver projects on time and on budget. Likewise, the HxGN EAM asset management system showcased cost-effective, asset-intensive, performance-oriented maintenance operations for industrial facilities.
For the public safety industry, HxGN Connect demonstrated its cloud-based collaboration space where organisations can manage incidents, share data and coordinate action digitally. Smart Advisor highlighted its assistive AI that provides insights and fills operational blind spots in complex, unfolding emergencies.
